Particular appreciation is expressed for the appointment of Pippo Sorbello , Mayor of Melissa.
48 years, a Catholic, is Mayor of Melissa since 2002 and there has been confirmed no later than one year ago with an election result by more than 72% approval. Now my appointment as Regional Minister comes after a campaign election that saw him run into the list Autonomist Democrats with a flattering result that would surely have declared a regional member of our province if the list had reached the required quorum of 5% region.
President Raffaele Lombardo, is to say, wanted to keep the commitment made during the election campaign when he had to say "Pippo Sorbello will still be by my side if I will be elected President of the Region" . This is a synergy between Raffaele Lombardo and Pippo Sorbello, that will create opportunities for redemption and development for our troubled province.
